Delete your account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Deckly account and the data associated with it. You can do it yourself inside the app, or ask us to do it for you by email if you no longer have the app installed.

Option 1: Delete it in the app

  1. Open Deckly and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm. Your account and content are erased immediately and you are signed out.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you have already removed the app or cannot sign in, email decklyappsupport@gmail.com from the email address registered to your Deckly account, with the subject "Account deletion request". We verify that the request comes from the account owner and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner. We will confirm by email once it is done.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently erases:

  • your account and sign-in credentials (email address, hashed PIN, Sign in with Apple link);
  • your profile and app settings, including reminder-time preferences;
  • all content you created: routines, to-dos, projects, project stages, and daily logs;
  • your completion history and statistics.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Purchase and billing records. Subscription transactions are handled by Apple and Google, not by us. We and our subscription provider retain the minimum transaction records required by app-store rules and by tax and accounting law, typically for up to 10 years. These records are kept for legal compliance only and are no longer linked to your app content.
  • Security and server logs. Our hosting provider keeps limited technical logs (such as IP address and connection timestamps) for a short period for security and abuse prevention, and then deletes them automatically.
  • Backups. Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before those backups expire and are overwritten.
  • Support emails. If you have written to support, that correspondence is kept for up to 12 months.

Your subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in the store you purchased from:

  • Google Play: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Deckly → Cancel.
  • Apple: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Deckly → Cancel.

Data on your device

Any data cached locally on your phone is removed when you delete your account or uninstall the app. Deckly's reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device, so they stop as well.
